COVID 19 Hearing care

Caring for Patients During the Coronavirus

According to the CDC, this is how the COVID-19 spreads. Information at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/caring-for-patients.html

How COVID-19 Spreads

There is much to learn about the newly emerged COVID-19, including how and how easily it spreads. Based on what is currently known about COVID-19 and what is known about other coronaviruses, the spread is thought to occur mostly from person-to-person via respiratory droplets among close contacts.

Close contact can occur while caring for a patient, including:

  • being within approximately 6 feet (2 meters) of a patient with COVID-19 for a prolonged period of time.
  • having direct contact with infectious secretions from a patient with COVID-19. Infectious secretions may include sputum, serum, blood, and respiratory droplets.

If close contact occurs while not wearing all recommended PPE, healthcare personnel may be at risk of infection.

At Accurate Hearing we are doing everything we can to stop the spread of the coronaviruses and still be here for all your hearing needs.

In-Office Appointments

I made masks for the patients that must come into the office. If you have your own mask please bring it; if you don’t, that is okay, you can have one of mine. Anyone that must come in will be required to wear a mask. We are wearing masks as well. This is for everyone’s safety.  Please note, however, we can do a lot with you outside the office while maintaining social distancing.

Hearing Aid Supplies, Adjustments, and Cleaning

Depending on your hearing aid, we can adjust yours while you are at home. We can adjust some hearing aids with you outside and you don’t even have to come in. For cleanings, you can hand your hearing aids to us through the mail slot. We can clean them and hand them back to you the same way. If you are in need of supplies, we can get that to you, curbside.

Remember the old A&W Root Beer drive-ups?! Call for an appointment, just drive up and we will take care of you the best we can. I wonder if we can get Mom and Romy to wear roller skates and bring them to you? Stay safe and keep hearing.

If you need us we are here for you. Call 907-644-6004.
